Ao fim de 19 épocas ao serviço do clube de Turim o avançado de 37 anos deixa a sua equipa como campeão nacional sem derrotas (algo que não acontecia desde 1991/92 quando o AC Milan foi campeão).
Ao longo de quase 20 anos na Juventus, Del Piero venceu o Scudetto por 6 vezes, 1 Taça de Itália, 4 Supertaças, 1 Liga dos Campeões (e 3 vezes finalista vencido), e 1 Supertaça europeia entre outros títulos.
É também o melhor marcador de todos os tempos da Juventus com 289 golos. Ao serviço da selecção italiana foi campeão mudial em 2006 e finalista do EURO'2000.
Del Piero será para sempre recordado como um dos mais talentosos jogadores do futebol italiano.
